Planting Sequoias

In which I blog about a life (hopefully) well lived.

Saturday’s Supper and Savings (in which I simultaneously dazzle you and gross you out)

Apparently this blog has decided to embrace alliteration, for better or for worse.

Anyway, this afternoon I’m really hoping that somehow this:

//(Oh, wait, you didn’t come to this blog to see pictures of raw meat?)//

somehow magically turns into this:

Mmmmm.

Check out the Crockpot Honey Sesame Chicken recipe from here.

In other news, I just ran to Meijer to pick up soy sauce ($1.69), which I unfortunately didn’t have a coupon for.

Fortunately, I ended up spending just $1.48 on my overall grocery bill for the soy sauce, 2 bunches of bananas, an avocado, 4 boxes of mozzarella sticks, 2 jars of salsa, a can of tomato paste, and a head of lettuce.

Boom.

Now to plan meals for the week that include all of those ingredients…

  1. Could you please counsel me in coupon use? (This is a serious question.) I will come to your house, we will give you your wedding gift, Rob and Ken can drink beer, and you can teach me your secrets while we hoard (read: eat) the dessert I bring that we refuse to share with Rob and Ken (they already have beer, after all).

    • Ha! Yes! I like the way you think. If the guys get beer, can we drink sangria??? Monday or Wednesday this week (or any week, really) works for us!

Please validate me by leaving a comment. (Why yes, I am begging.) Do it.
